SnookScience© delivers culturally responsive, social-justice-minded, and civically engaged science education resources designed for teachers, independent learners, home educators, and student-driven portfolios.

Hi! I’m Nicole Kessler-Snook, the creator of SnookScience©. As a professional educator with over 20 years of instructional experience in urban science classrooms, I have been disrupting traditional educational spaces since I first entered the field. I quickly realized that my students' lived realities did not align with conventional, passive learning models. I created SnookScience© to bridge this gap by developing interdisciplinary frameworks grounded in culturally relevant pedagogy—practices that empower students socially, emotionally, academically, and politically.

As a facilitator of learning, I encourage students to use their unique passions and skill sets to guide their own questions, drive their inquiry, and propose innovative solutions to real-world challenges. By anchoring core sciences in place-based learning, the SnookScience© framework equips students to build deep, localized scientific literacy, empirical data skills, technical writing habits, and rigorous systems thinking.
